There was an excellent atmosphere among the 2,700 or so exhibitors and 175,000 visitors in the 19 halls of the booked-out Düsseldorf exhibition centre for this year's interpack, the world's largest packaging technology trade fair. interpack 2014 set a new visitor record with this figure.
This positive, dynamic mood was also felt at the AUER Packaging stand; visitors showed a keen interest in the exhibits on display. As a new feature in the range, AUER Packaging presented the classic Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC), which consists of a plastic container with a metal frame and an integrated pallet, made of wood or plastic according to requirements. In December 2013, AUER Packaging announced the purchase of the entire Technology Park site in Amerang. The prestigious building complex was built in 2002 on a plot measuring almost 50,000 square metres for an international electronics company. The architecture and furnishings are suitably spacious and of a high standard of quality. The headquarters of AUER Packaging, with their own showroom, have already been situated in the main block of the Technology Park for many years.

With the purchase of the whole site, the up-and-coming Bavarian firm is unlocking additional production capacity with very short distances between the production facilities and the sales and administrative departments. In the future, new product lines can also be manufactured under cleanroom conditions in the new halls.

January 2014

A renowned commercial vehicle manufacturer, known throughout the world for producing high-performance lorries, buses and engines, has chosen to incorporate AUER containers into its manufacturing processes. The prestigious company recently placed an order for over 70,000 R-KLT containers. The strict quality standards for the KLT series ("small-load carriers") released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) enable highly automated handling in all manufacturing processes. AUER Packaging offers good value for money, high-quality materials and manufacturing, as well as tailor-made solutions compliant with the VDA 4500 standard, which outlines a detailed set of requirements for small-load carriers in the automotive industry.

January 2014

Due to a rapid growth in orders, AUER Packaging needs to expand its resources in order to meet the increasing global demand for high-quality plastic containers. To this end, the Amerang-based company recently announced that it had ordered four new state-of-the-art injection moulding machines. Company founder Robert Auer and CMO Philipp Auer see these purchases first and foremost as an investment in service quality. The additional production capacity will significantly reduce delivery times and allow for an even faster response to customer requests.

Over the past few years, AUER Packaging has continuously been able to achieve double-digit growth rates. According to the two managers, this has largely been due to the successful expansion of its worldwide distribution and the introduction of new products specifically in its best-selling ranges.

AUER Packaging is proud to be providing high-quality containers to Europe's largest automobile manufacturer: The Volkswagen Group has commissioned the Bavarian family-owned company to deliver a total of 900,000 RL-KLT containers.

AUER Packaging views VW's order as a credit to the high quality of its KLT containers which are specially optimised for the automotive industry. The dimensions and many of the specifications for these containers are clearly laid out in the strict quality standards issued by the VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry). This guarantees highly effective handling during the manufacturing and assembly processes, and also in particular during high levels of automation.

November 2013

The K 2013 trade fair, which was held in Düsseldorf from 16 to 23 October, was all about plastic and what you can do with it. AUER Packaging product ranges were on display in a wealth of different sizes and versions as well as in a host of different colours. The brightly coloured exhibits really caught the eye. The message is simple: "AUER containers can be produced in practically any colour or shade the client wants." The relatively low set-up costs for changing colour are no longer really an issue, even with small and medium-sized batches - you can now order a set of containers in your company's colours and in line with your corporate identity.

In showcasing the brand new system trolleys for rack boxes, Euro containers, and tipping boxes, AUER Packaging also underlined its great capacity for innovation. The clever pull-out mechanism for Euro containers makes it impossible to pull out more than one container at a time, which in turn ensures that everything remains securely stacked at all times.

Following on from AUER Packaging being awarded top marks by the Hoppenstedt Group for its credit rating in 2012, the Amerang-based company was once again given straight As by Hoppenstedt in 2013. Of the 4.7 million companies investigated, only an exclusive circle of 4.8% achieved this top rank – yet more proof of the strong economic performance and successful business strategy of AUER Packaging.

Each year, the iF Packaging Design Award recognises exceptional packaging solutions that stand out from the crowd thanks to their design, functionality and ergonomics. The judges have now attested to these characteristics of the current generation of reusable containers by AUER Packaging: these practical containers, which can either be stacked into one another or on top of one another as required, were among the winners of the iF Packaging Design Award 2013!
