Each year, the iF Packaging Design Award recognises exceptional packaging solutions that stand out from the crowd thanks to their design, functionality and ergonomics. The judges have now attested to these characteristics of the current generation of reusable containers by AUER Packaging: these practical containers, which can either be stacked into one another or on top of one another as required, were among the winners of the iF Packaging Design Award 2013!

December 2012

AUER Packaging's appearance at FachPack 2012 in Nuremberg was met with a very positive response. The company presented an entire range of new products at its impressive 200 m² stand: the new boxes for racks and material flow are expected to be available from the end of October, as are the solid-surface cleanroom pallets.

The practical tipping boxes and the small load carriers (KLT) are other innovative products which are expected to be available from December.

AUER Packaging has developed an extremely robust and functional solution compliant with the VDA-4500 standard of the automotive sector and has therefore commissioned an entire series of KLT container tools.

October 2012

The SAVE FOOD initiative was established by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to raise society's awareness of food losses.
One of the goals of the initiative is to bring together all those involved in food value creation, and thus help them to develop effective measures. Another of SAVE FOOD's pressing concerns is raising consumer awareness.

AUER Packaging not only makes a major contribution to the diligent and respectful handling of foodstuffs with its high-quality, hygienic special products for the food industry, it also supports the initiative with a generous donation.

Every year, the well-known rating agency Hoppenstedt evaluates the creditworthiness of around 4.7 million companies. Only 4.4% of the businesses investigated achieve the top score of "1". AUER Packaging is therefore particularly proud to be part of this exclusive group of companies to have been awarded the highest possible rating.

For CEO Robert Auer, this accolade is also an incentive for the future: "Obviously, the company will continue to do all it can in 2012 to remain in a healthy economic position and to continue to be a perfect partner for our business associates!"

Contact with Sorin Revencu in Romania was established via the Hungarian AUER Packaging sales subsidiary, which was founded back in 2008. Mr Revencu's parents had frequently ordered AUER products via Hungary and marketed them in Romania. From now on, Sorin Revencu – who is already familiar with the AUER product range thanks to his experience in his parents' business – will be taking on the exclusive sale of AUER products in his home country.

Robert Auer, CEO of AUER Packaging, and the newly minted manager of the Romanian subsidiary are confident that this step will open up an attractive market for the company and further strengthen its market position in Eastern Europe.

With the trend-setting "Rigoletto" rain water infiltration system and its new corporate division AUER Rain Solutions, AUER has successfully broken into a further market segment in which high-quality, robust plastic processing is in high demand. Rigoletto is used wherever large areas have been sealed as a result of construction work and rain water can no longer drain into the ground. The law stipulates that the implementation of such solutions is mandatory in certain cases.

A major DIY store chain has now commissioned AUER Rain Solutions with the construction of a trenching solution for its new warehouse. All around the building, seven large systems with Rigoletto elements will be used to allow the water running off the warehouse roof and the surrounding sealed area to drain into the ground in a controlled manner.

A new generation of space-saving containers was recently given the go-ahead. AUER Packaging commissioned the global market leader in injection die casting tool production with a total of 43 tools. The overall investment sum totals approximately EUR 5 million. CEO Robert Auer plans to introduce the new space-saving container product lines to the market in late 2011 or early 2012.

When newly sealed surfaces, such as tarred car parks for example, are built, the law states that gravel-free infiltration systems be used to drain the rain water. At IFAT 2010, AUER Packaging presented its "Rigoletto" inspection block, which meets the strict legal regulations. Series production began in February 2011 and Rigoletto is now available.

The core of the system is a highly stressable trenching support medium made of polypropylene with a hollow space proportion of 95%. It features pipe connections on the side, through which water can pass three-dimensionally with almost no resistance, and which can be combined as required. A continuous inspection tunnel allows automotive camera dollies to be used. The inspection tunnel features wide-meshed grates on the side which serve to control the infiltration-effective exterior surface as well as the entire trenching volume with all statically relevant supporting elements. The trenching system is designed for professional approval inspections and repeat inspections. It can also be installed under traffic areas and at great depths.

Matching end wall grates are available to close the inspection tunnel on the Rigoletto. End wall adapters on the trenching end wall are designed for direct pipe connections and can simply be clicked into place. The Rigoletto inspection blocks can be stacked offset into one another to save space during transport.

AUER Packaging meets its increasing requirements for space with the opening of new markets in Europe and reacts with the expansion of its storage capacities. At the end of November 2009, the construction of a new warehouse with 7,500 storing positions for pallets was completed and commissioned in December 2009.

The amazing results of this expansion measure for AUER clients all over the world are more flexibility in production planning, higher capacities of goods and therefore shorter terms of order processing.

DHL Netherlands, an establishment of the global logistic leader "Deutsche Post DHL" (= German Royal Mail), was so convinced of the features of the collapsible containers KLK 1210 with 4 cut-out handles with flaps that they passed a bulk order in November 2009: all packages sent by DHL Netherlands - and therefore a huge part of the packages in the Netherlands - are now sorted in these containers.

The advantages for DHL Netherlands are evident: Thanks to the cut-out handles with flaps, it is comfortable and easy to empty the boxes. The fact that they can be stacked very well saves space in the logistics centre while the reduction in volume once collapsed saves important capacities during transport which is worth real cash.

Thanks to the flexible production process, orders of this dimension can also be processed in a fast and professional way.
